In response to the opening of this year's IIC-China Conference and Exhibition where hundreds of local design engineers attended the ceremony, Fairchild Semiconductor's senior application technology manager Alan Elbanhawy said he was surprised with the improvement of the Chinese engineers' exchange of technology ideas and communication skills.

"Young Chinese engineers are now more confident which indicates progress in terms of understanding technology developments," Elbanhawy added.

Aside from practicing their communication skills, the ongoing IIC-China event is believed to be a good opportunity for local engineers in meeting other foreign engineers with years of experience in the industry.

In addition, topics for discussion such as embedded design, power management, software design and test, signal drive processing and digital consumer electronic system designs are being covered every day.
