Evalue Technology SBC utilizes Pentium M processor

Evalue Technology Inc.'s ECM-5716 is a highly integrated 5.25-inch SBC that utilizes the low voltage Pentium M processor with 1MB L2 cache, 855PM chipset with 400MHz front side bus, and up to 1GB DDR SDRAM.

Incorporating Intel's 855GM integrated AGP high performance 256-bit GUI and 3D engine for its display capability, the device is also equipped with Intel's ICH4 and 82551QM PCI-bus 10/100Base-Tx fast Ethernet controllers.

The 855GM chipset supports the 24- to 48-bit LVDS flat panel display directly, while the 82551QM can be replaced with a Gigabit Ethernet as an alternative option. The onboard Ricoh R5C551 card bus controller supports both PCMCIA Type I/II slot socket and IEE1394.

Targeting Internet, telecommunications, VOD (Voice-On-Demand), image processing, medical, military, POS, POI, ATM banking, web payphone, automation, security and other embedded applications, the ECM-5716 features a row of edge connectors to connect external devices with less cabling, including AC97 Audio, one serial port, one parallel port, four USB 2.0 ports, and dual IEEE 1394A ports, which support data speeds up to 400Mbps.
