Xilinx Inc. and Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. have expanded their product service and market distribution agreement to include India.

Specifically, Nu Horizons will manage the Xilinx distribution program from its existing facility in Bangalore, in addition to its New Delhi facility, which is scheduled to open next month. The distribution of all Xilinx FPGAs, CPLDs, software and development tools, and IP cores, as well as all demand creation and engineering support, will also be regionally based from the dual locations.

In related news, Xilinx recently announced the establishment of the Xilinx-CMC India Development Centre (XIDC) in Hyderabad, India. As one of Xilinx's first R&D facility in Asia-Pacific, the center will focus on developing FPGA solutions targeted at high-growth markets, such as digital consumer electronics, automotive, and communications.
