The SP26LV431 quad channel RS422 line driver and SP26LV431 quad channel receiver from Sipex Corp. provide pin-out compatible with the industry standard 26C31 and 26C32 footprint.

"With data rates up to 60Mbps, the SP26LV431 and SP26LV432 offer a very compelling feature set resulting in the most cost effective solution at this performance level," said Kevin Plouse, senior VP of marketing and business development.

Being EIA/TIA-422-B compliant, the devices are targeted for point-to-point or multi-drop transmission lines with up to 10 receivers per segment over links up to 4,000ft. Four independent channels and high maximum data rates also make the products a suitable upgrade for carrying data and timing signals over high performance buses or backplanes.

The products feature exceptional noise rejection, 200mV receiver sensitivity over 7V common mode range, positive or negative polarity enable-control pins, 3V to 3.6V operation, and <1ns driver output skew. The SP26LV432 includes an open-receiver failsafe protection.

Available in 16-pin narrow SOIC and plastic DIP packages, pricing for the line drivers starts at $1.65 for 1,000-piece quantities.
