The CRO2275A voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) from Z-Communications covers 2,250MHz to 2,300MHz in 0.5Vdc to 4.5Vdc of tuning with unmatched phase noise performance.

Targeted for the wireless broadband industry, the VCO delivers a spectral signal of -85dBc/Hz and -114dBc/Hz at 1kHz and 10kHz offsets, respectively, while covering the 50MHz bandwidth with an average tuning sensitivity of 15MHz/V. It is designed to operate off a 5Vdc supply while drawing 20mA of current to provide the end user with 1.5dBm15 of output power into a 50W load.

According to Z-Communications, the CRO2275A suppresses the 2nd harmonic to better than -10dBc and is further heightened by pushing <1MHz within 5 percent of the nominal supply voltage and pulling <1MHz with a 14dB return loss, any phase.

Rated for operation between the -10C to 75C temperature range, it has a measurement of 1.27-by-1.27-by-0.56cm, with prices staring at $29.95.
