System General and QuickLogic Corp. have announced the availability of the QL9600 device programmer, which enables reduced programming time and universal connectivity with standard PCs and laptops.

With the QL9600, designers using QuickLogic's FPGAs and ESPs have access to a high-speed, portable programming solution. It supports the Eclipse, Eclipse-II, Eclipse-Plus, QuickPCI, and QuickMIPS device families.

Featuring built-in memory, a dedicated processor, and a USB interface, the QL9600 is shipped complete with an intuitive user interface focused on push-button ease-of-use.

"QuickLogic's ESP and FPGA customers get their products to market quickly using our complete set of design tools, encompassing silicon, development software, development services and programming hardware," said Brian Faith, QuickLogic's Director of Logic Products. "With the System General programming system, our customers can reduce their programming time between 15 and 40 percent and focus on what matters most - completing their design quickly and delivering products to market."

To increase throughput for high volume production programming, System General also offers auto handlers that integrate with the QL9600.
