Motorola to expand broadband services in China

Motorola Inc. has been selected to supply broadband infrastructure technology to three cable network operators in China. By 2006, Motorola optical technology will power the expansion of broadband services - including digital cable, digital radio, and high-speed Internet access - to over four million residential and business customers throughout three cities in China.
Motorola will be providing the optical solutions to prepare these networks to support the introduction of digital cable, high- speed data, and interactive services in the future.
Under the terms of the separate agreements, Motorola will supply all electronic equipment for the hybrid fibre-coax networks, including the Motorola OmniStar GX2 optical head-end platform, fiber electronic transmitters and receivers, and optical nodes. |
