Intersil Corp. is establishing a center for the design and development of high-performance analog products in India. Intersil Analog Services Private Ltd (IAS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Intersil, has been incorporated with the Registrar of Corporations in Bangalore, India for this purpose.

The new design facility will be a center for analog products, with an initial focus on the design of high-speed data converters. Additionally, it will undertake development and integration activities for associated high performance analog products.

Over time, the company expects the team to expand their design activities into other analog categories including amplifiers, high-speed interface and high-speed analog-to-digital converters for various target markets Intersil addresses. The IAS team will work with Intersil's marketing teams and key customers to define, develop and introduce high- performance analog products.
