Symbiot platform interoperates with existing network infrastructure

Symbiot Inc. has disclosed that its Intelligent Security Infrastructure Management Systems platform is the next evolution in information security.

The iSIMS (intelligent SIMS) platform is designed to interoperate with existing network infrastructure, such as VPNs, firewalls, intrusion detection systems and intrusion prevention systems. It builds a framework of risk over time that can be used to model the threats associated with maintaining network operations.

"Symbiot's iSIMS provides the ability to highlight the most significant threats from an overwhelming number of security events that occur every day on our customers' enterprise networks," said President Michael W. Erwin. "Our solution quickly and easily determines which events will have the most impact on their network operations, and we measure that impact in dollar terms."

A subscription to the iSIMS includes the hardware, software, service and support for the term of the agreement. The iSIMS knowledge base is constantly updated from Symbiot.NET, which also serves as a central repository of attacker profiles.
