Offering reduced size and cost for power in demanding applications, Astrodyne Co. has developed the ASL series of ultraminiature open frame switching power supplies that provide output power over the range of 10W to 15W.

Accepting universal input from 85Vac to 265Vac, all 10 models provide single outputs of 3.3Vdc to 24Vdc. According to the company, the ASL Global Performance Series provides convenient corner mounting holes and are connector pin out and mounting size compatible to industry-standard products.

The ASL series features single sided construction for high reliability, and an integral power-good LED indicator and output adjustment potentiometer. All products in the series will operate over the ambient temperature range of 0C to 50C without forced cooling or output power derating. The devices contain short circuit protection circuitry as well as internal input filtering.

With measurements of 5.79(L)-by-5.08(W)-by-1.42(H)cm (10W version), the ASL series is also available in medically-approved versions (ASM series). All models feature mini-sized Molex style I/O connections, with prices starting at $15 in OEM quantities.
