Approved for Class I and Class II applications, the ECM series of single output ac-dc power supplies from XPiQ Inc. features, according to the company, the world's smallest footprint for units with these ratings.

The 40W to 60W devices measure 50.8-by-101.6-by-30.48mm, and operate to Level B EMI/EMC specifications with maximum leakage currents of 100?A at 115Vac or 200?A at 230Vac.

The ECM40-60 series offers outputs from 5V to 48Vdc, adjustable by 10 percent and Universal ac inputs. All models are approved to both Medical and Industrial/ITE standards with dual-fused input protection.

Designed for industrial, IT and medical applications, the power supplies feature an operating efficiency between 80 to 85 percent, depending upon the model. The high-density products deliver full power between the -10C and 50C temperature range, and will operate up to 80C with derating and only 5cfm of cooling. It also includes overvoltage, overload, and short circuit protection.

Pricing for 1,000-piece quantities is $26.50 for the ECM40 and $30.25 for the ECM60.
