1st Silicon selects HP to implement IT system

Malaysia's semiconductor foundry 1st Silicon Sdn Bhd has chosen HP to implement its new Computer Integrated Manufacturing System, an IT solution for improved operational efficiency and customer service.
The HP Sales Malaysia will provide a system to further enhance 1st Silicon customers 24/7 online access to engineering data, supply chain, order status information and other logistical details.
"Streamlining our data-flows and having on-time access to management information is critical to decision-making in the competitive foundry business," said John Nelson, CEO of 1st Silicon.
