Nvidia Corp. claims that its Quadro FX 4000 is a professional graphics solution that shatters all performance and image quality records, and reaches new heights in programmability and precision.

Armed with a new graphics architecture, the Quadro FX 4000 features increased programmability and true 128-bit floating point precision. It introduces some new technologies that drive the performance and image quality for OpenGL- and DX-based professional applications, including a rotated-grid full-scene antialiasing that increases the visual quality of lines and edges on 3D models without compromising performance, an innovative high-precision dynamic range technology that sets new standards for imaging through extended 32-bit floating point capabilities in shading, filtering, texturing, and blending, one of the world's fastest 256-bit GDDR3 memory interface and a memory bandwidth of 32GBps, and two dual-link DVI-I connectors.

Available in May, the Quadro FX 4000 will be sold by original equipment manufacturers like HP and add-in card partners such as PN Y, Leadtek, and Elsa, as well as value-added resellers and system builders.
