Ohmite Mfg Co. has introduced its new RW1S0CK series of surface-mount current sense resistors and 30 series of high-energy wirewound resistors.

Designed for precision current sensing applications, the RW1SOCK 4-terminal resistors are offered in a resistance range from 0.005- to 0.050 ohms. Four stocked values are offered as off-the-shelf items in both 1 percent and 0.5 percent tolerances.

Ohmite's 30 series resistors are manufactured specifically to maximize and fix the joule rating of each resistor. Energy ratings for standard values from 1 ohm to 150 ohms are published at Ohmite's web site.

The high-energy wirewound resistors are designed for pulse applications where energy rating, rather than continuous power rating, is the key concern for the designer. Standard versions are inductively wound, and in low frequency, low resistance applications, can replace composition type resistors. The 30 series resistors are available in both surface-mount and heat sinkable versions.
