Vishay unveils latest transient voltage suppressors

Vishay Intertechnology Inc. has released two new families of transient voltage suppressors, including the first bidirectional, 800W-rated TVS in the SMB package.

The new surface-mount TransZorb products are offered with 500W, 800W, and 1,000W peak pulse power ratings. The company offers the 500W, unidirectional and bidrectional TVS in the SMA package, and the 800W bidrectional and 1,000W unidirectional TVS in the SMB package.

With a choice of maximum stand-off voltages in increments from 5V to 40V, the new families comprise 156 standard device options.

Designed to protect voltage-sensitive components, including MOS devices and low-power ICs, the TransZorb devices respond to transient overvoltage conditions in power supplies, automotive systems, and fixed telecom infrastructure applications.
