Transmeta expands presence in the Asia-Pacific market

Transmeta Corp. has opened new offices in the Asia-Pacific region focused on providing local support for a growing array of OEM and ODM partners developing new products powered by its Efficeon and Crusoe X86-compatible microprocessors.

In detail, the company opened two offices, one in Shanghai, China, and one in Sungnam City, South Korea. Transmeta has also formed a marketing and public relation agreement with Top Consulting, which operates an office in Beijing. Meanwhile, the company launched a country-specific Websites for China and Taiwan.

In addition, Transmeta will introduce its latest 90nm Efficeon processor running at 1.6GHz, as well as the Efficeon processors with No Execute (NX-bit) technology, and an Efficeon processor with Transmeta's LongRun2 power management technology.
