LDI laser-driver allows narrow pulse widths at faster rise times
Keywords:laser diode? tyco electronics? pulsed laser diode-driver hybrid? lhcvd?
The LHCVD series incorporates a pulsed laser driver into the same package as a laser diode. According to the company, the hybridized laser-driver allows the laser to be operated at narrower pulse widths and faster rise times at lower voltages than with discrete drivers. The Transistor-Transistor Logic (TTL) compatibility permits triggering from most digital circuitry.
The laser-drivers are available with the LDI standard line of high reliability 850nm and 905nm laser diodes. The hermetic TO-5 package and increased efficiency is suitable for applications where space and weight are of primary concern.
