Holtek regulators with low power consumption

Holtek Semiconductor announced the availability of its higher driving low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator - the HT73XX series.

With a quiescent current of 4?A (typ) that can extend battery lifespan, the new series offers the advantage of high input voltage and high output voltage accuracy. According to the company, this combination of high input voltage and low quiescent current makes the regulator ideal for multicell battery operated systems.

The new CMOS LDO regulator can provide a current flow of up to 250mA, and is available with a wide range of fixed output voltages from 1.8V to 5V. Featuring low power consumption, the product is particularly useful for battery-powered equipment such as cameras, mobile phones and portable games.
