Tyco power inductors rated at 50A

Tyco Electronics, through its business unit CoEv Magnetics, recently released its DZM series of lead-free power inductors that are free from thermal aging effects of standard iron powders and offer increased energy storage.

Designed to suit switching power supplies and portable devices, the new inductors feature a current handling capability of up to 50A and an inductance range between 0.1?H and 3?H. The low-voltage, high-current devices provide an MTBF of 1 million hours, and operate up to 200°C. They come in a dimension of 13-by-13-by-6mm, and are RoHS (Reduction of Hazardous Substances) compliant.
