Rubidium oscillators eye high performance apps
Keywords:quartzlock? hsro series? rubidium oscillator?
Quartzlock USA's new HSRO series of high stability rubidium oscillators feature a high stable signal for time-frequency measurements.
In combination with a small size and excellent short-term accuracy, the new oscillators can be used in a variety of high-performance applications. These include frequency calibration, telecom network synchronization, cellphone basestations, satellite navigation, GPS receivers, radio transmitters, ground and satellite communications, time base and calibration, secure communications, spread spectrum techniques and radio navigation.
Available in frequencies of 1-, 5-, 10-, 10.24- and 13MHz, the HSRO devices measure 75-by-87-by-157mm. Connections are made through a 6-pin connector (for 24Vdc power) and a SMA-type female connector. Key specifications include a stability of 4x10-13/100s, and drift of 2x10-11 per month. SSB phase noise is -155dBc at 10kHz. Harmonic distortion is rated at -40dB and a nonharmonic distortion in the 10Hz to 10kHz range is -80dBc. The operating temperature range is -10C to 55C.
Pricing for the HSRO devices is $8,900 each depending on specifications. Delivery is eight to ten weeks.
