LSI Logic supplies South Korean developer with DSPs

The ZSP400 DSP core from LSI Logic Corp. has been used in a multiple digital audio and multimedia broadcasting applications by South Korea-based I&C Technologies Co. Ltd, a developer of semiconductor solutions for digital broadcast receivers.

"The home entertainment market is evolving rapidly, creating multiple standards, new features and improved audio and video quality and resolution," said Chang-Il Park, CEO and president, I&C Technologies. "By licensing the ZSP400, we are able to get to market quickly with solutions that can scale to address the changing audio and multimedia broadcasting market where the move to digital has taken hold," Park added.

Tuan Dao, VP of LSI Logics DSP division, commented, "The flexibility of the platform provides room for future functionality and features, making it an attractive solution. By adding I&C to our growing ZSP partner list, we are strengthening the development of SoC designs in South Korea and providing cost effective access to DSP solutions and multimedia application software solutions."
