Sunlord to expand chip inductor capacity

Shenzhen Sunlord Electronics Co. Ltd has disclosed plans on increasing its chip inductor capacity by establishing a factory in Guannan, Shenzhen, mainland China. The proposed Guannan plant will be built on an 80,000 square-meter lot, and will commence construction this October.

Sunlord aims to ramp up its production output to five billion units after transferring to the new factory next year, and expects to reach 10 billion units by 2007. The company will also increase its production capacity in its Luoho plant, which covers an area of 53,000 square-meters.

Among the company's customers include Hitachi Ltd, Sanyo Corp., Sharp Corp., Motorola Inc., Sony Corp. and Foxconn Electronics Inc.
