Featuring dual, sliding contacts, NKK Switches' new HB series of illuminated and nonilluminated subminiature pushbuttons provide high reliability, contact stability and increased operating life. Plus, a rear panel threaded mounting ensures secure positioning.

Available in a variety of LED choices, designers can specify the illuminated switches in bright LEDs (red, amber and green) as well as super bright options in white, blue or green LEDs. Both full face and spot-illuminated models are available.

The HB series pushbutton switches are also available in a variety of nonilluminated versions with solid caps in different colors and matching LED indicators. The pushbuttons and indicators are offered assembled or unassembled. The series features a compact front panel design with black built-in bezels available in .354-inch? or round options. The behind panel depth is less than one inch and the round panel cutout of 8mm is an industry standard.

Rated at 0.1A maximum at 30Vac/dc, the HB series has solder lug terminals that are spaced 0.254-by-0.508cm to enable PCB mounting. This can be accomplished by elongating the PCB holes to 0.203. The longer, normally closed terminal facilitates wiring and soldering. Terminals are molded in to lock out flux, dust and other contaminants. Mechanical life is rated at 100,000 operations minimum.

The UL recognized HB series can be specified in single pole/double throw, momentary or maintained circuits. A latch-down feature in the maintained option gives indication of circuit status at a single glance. It also features audible and tactile feedback with a smooth and responsive operation.

The HB series switches are priced at $4.10 each in quantities of 1,000. Delivery is from stock to six weeks.
