LSI Logic broadens reach in South Korea with DSP cores

South Korea-based Pulsus Technologies Inc. has licensed LSI Logic Corp.'s ZSP400 DSP core with IC products ready for production in mobile digital audio applications. By leveraging the ZSP core, Pulsus Technologies says it has a signal processing solution featuring optimized power and performance needed to serve the growing market of digital audio amplifiers that are rapidly replacing analog amplifiers.

Sang-Jin Park, executive director, Research and Product Development of Pulsus Technologies, said, "LSI Logics ZSP solution allows us to handle multiple audio formats and compression technologies required in digital amplifier applications while maintaining high performance and quality."

In addition, LSI Logic has recently signed several ZSP licensing agreements in Asia including UTStarcom, Datang Microelectronics, AVID Electronics Corp, Socle Technology and ICC.
