Cookson Electronics Assembly Materials introduced its Alpha Vaculoy SACX307 lead-free wave solder alloy that "cost-effectively" delivers high yield and fast throughput, while meeting the strict lead-free environmental mandates.

"Alpha Vaculoy SACX307 provides our customers the quality and reliability they have come to expect from Cookson products, while helping them meet industry lead-free initiatives," said Gerry Campbell, Global Product Manager for Cookson Electronics Assembly Materials. "This latest wave solder technology delivers high yield, fast throughput and economy."

Cookson added that the Alpha Vaculoy SACX307 creates strong, mechanically sound joints with excellent long-term reliability, and provides excellent drainage and minimizes bridging defects. In addition, the fast wetting speed of the wave solder alloy delivers improved solderability. The solder minimizes dross generation, resulting in low process maintenance and reduced product waste.
