SNMP Research international has inked a partnership deal with protocol stack developer Interpeak AB, under which the companies will bring SNMP management capabilities to IPv4/IPv6 networking designs.

Through the partnership, SNMP Research will integrate its EMANATE family of SNMP agents with Interpeak's IPNET and IPLITE dial-mode IPv4 and IPv6 protocol stacks. By doing this, the companies are enabling the delivery of SNMP traffic over the dual-mode protocol stacks. Additionally, they are delivering SNMP-based access to instrumentation within the stacks.

The combined solution will run on a variety of operating systems including Green Hills' Integrity RTOS, Enea's OSE RTOS, Wind River's VxWorks RTOS, and Linux OSes. Designers licensing products from either SNMP Research or Interpeak will have access to the integration code.
