New Japan Radio Co. Ltd (NJR) has released a low-voltage, low-current FM IF demodulator IC with a 450kHz (standard) IF frequency and operating frequency of up to 50MHz (reference value).
With an operating current of 1.2mA at V=2V and operating voltage range between 1.8V and 9V, the new NJM2593 includes an oscillator, mixer, limiting amplifier, quadrature detector, active filter and FSK comparator. It also has an RSSI circuit and RSSI comparator for carrier sense.
Additional features of the IC includes a ceramic discriminator or LC resonant circuit, an FSK comparator with open-collector output, and a quick charge/discharge circuit for FSK reference voltage.
Utilizing the Bipolar technology, the NJM2593 is available in the SSOP20 package outline. |
