Mentor opens sales, support facility in Banglore

EDA provider Mentor Graphics Corp. has opened a new sales and support facility in Bangalore, India apart from its R&D facilities presently located in Noida and Hyderabad. The office in Bangalore expands Mentor's presence with the addition of a 16-member team of direct sales specialists and expert application engineers committed to continuing the company's engineering support in the region.

The Mentor Graphics team in India will address the EDA needs of the major multi-national companies located in India. Meanwhile, CG-Corel will continue its present role as distributor for Mentor Graphics products in local, defense, government and educational accounts in India.

Daniel Yang, Mentor Graphics managing director for PacRim, commented, "Mentor Graphics is pleased to be expanding further into the vibrant Indian market," he said. "We look forward to serving customers' present needs and helping them resolve future design challenges."
