Propagate is developing an embedded cognitive radio software package for WLAN access point and client devices. The software, known as AutoCell, creates self-configuring wireless networks that automatically avoid radio frequency interference. Current Propagate partners include Netgear, Atheros Communications, and Chantry Networks.

To date, Propagate has raised approximately $14 million in venture funding. The company said it will use the $8 million obtained in its series C round to expand its sales and engineering resources in the United States and China.
