National Instruments (NI) has announced a new entry-level certification and online preparation tool for professionals and students wanting to assess their proficiency in the LabView graphical development environment. According to NI, LabView users can now certify their programming expertise and gain recognition for career advancement and employment opportunities by becoming a certified LabView associate developer (CLAD).

The CLAD exam is designed to assess LabView users' abilities to develop effective test, measurement and automation applications. It is suitable for professionals and students who want to measure their LabView programming skills and distinguish themselves for employers. Additionally, organizations can use the CLAD certification to recognize the technical growth of employees and make informed decisions for recruiting, career advancements and project assignments, which can lead to increased productivity and lower project costs.

The free preparation tool, LabView Fundamentals Exam, covers the essentials of LabView and can be taken online from any location. The one-hour, computer-based CLAD exam is administered worldwide through Pearson VUE testing centers and NI offices.
