NEC offers UNIVERGE video conferencing solution

NEC Corp. has launched its new UNIVERGE video conferencing solution which is realized through the integration of NEC's UNIVERGE SV7000 IP telephony server and Sony's PCS series videoconferencing system. NEC's SV7000 is fully compliant with the SIP (session initiation protocol) international standard.

Upon verifying a connection between UNIVERGE SV7000 and PCS series, the collaboration was realized by NEC and Sony, based on the UNIVERGE partner program, which promotes expansion of IT network integrated solutions offerings through cooperation with partner companies.

NEC is further promoting collaboration with partner companies through the UNIVERGE partner program, by supporting solutions development and marketing, and promotional activities. Additionally, NEC will contribute to expand cooperation with partners in solution offerings.

According to the companies, through the integration of voice and data networks that goes together with the expansion of the broadband environment, enterprises can realize reductions in TCO for networks. There is also a growing demand for the integration of broadband network and IT systems to improve business efficiency, intellectual productivity and communication efficiency.
