Toshiba Corp. is using Trident Technologies Inc.'s SVP EX video processor with DCRe technology in the two latest models of its Qosmio AV notebook, the Qosmio G15-AV501 and Qosmio F15-AV201.

"The SVP EX extends the capability of our PanelTV SVP solution, used in today's Qosmio systems, by improving the 3D video decoding, color controls, and sharpness enhancement, especially for HD video content. SVP EX brings uncompromising video quality to the new 17-inch 1,440x900 display in the G15-AV501 and the 15.4-inch 1,280x800 display in the F15-AV201," said Jung Herng Chang, president of Trident.

First launched in August 6, Toshiba's Qosmio is an integrated, mobile personal entertainment and computing device that offers users a "four-in-one" experience with TV, audio, DVD recorder and PC functionality.
