The system software development operations unit will be comprised of 450 employees, of whom about 80 percent will be employees of NEC Micro Systems Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NEC Electronics. The unit will be headed by vice president Seiji Mitsuoka, formerly general manager of the software Strategy planning division, and will house divisions devoted to software development for digital AV, mobile phone, automotive and other applications.
