Choke inductor combines wide inductance with low profile

Murata Electronics North America offers a new wirewound choke inductor that provides a wide inductance range with a maximum height of 0.95 mm for low-profile designs.

Designated the LQH2MC series, these devices are designed for all general choke applications, and in particular for cellular white LED applications.

The LQH2MC can be used in white LED driver, dc-dc converter (LCD panels), and other applications where height is a major restriction. The new series offers a wide inductance range of 10?H to 82?H for the E12 series. Packaged in a 2-by-1.6mm footprint, the series also features a high current rating of 225mA at 10?H.

Samples are currently available at 25 cents per unit.
