NJR pre-driver IC with lock detect/auto protection circuit

The new 2-phase DC brushless motor pre-driver IC from New Japan Radio Co. Ltd (NJR) incorporates a lock detect/auto protection circuit and totem-pole pre-drivers for external power MOSFET.

With a lock alarm output terminal, the NJM2646 has an operating voltage between 4V and 15V and absolute maximum voltage of 30V. The turn ON/ turn OFF ratio at auto protection release was set in 1:10 easy-to-use.

Utilizing the Bipolar Technology, the NJM2646 is available in TVSP8, EMP8 and DMP8 packaging options. Additionally, the device is pin-compatible with the 48V pre-driver NJM2640.
