Featuring Amphenol's RADSOK contact system, Amphenol Industrial Operations introduced its Tru-Lok 2-pin connector with 1.5mm socket contacts for rugged environments such as under valve covers on diesel engines and other under-the-hood interconnect applications.

The new Tru-Lok connector series features a molded thermoplastic main plug body and secondary latch, with Viton main seals and wire seals to withstand tough environmental conditions.

The RADSOK contact system is a patented electrical terminal based on a hyperbolic grid configuration, which ensures a large coaxial, face-to-face engagement area for a low millivolt drop connection with low insertion force, said the company. The cylinders contain elongated contactor strips in spaced, parallel connections that are twisted into a hyperbolic shape. As a male pin is inserted, the grid deflects, imparting high normal forces. The stamped grid and cylinder allow for a high quantity of insertion cycles and off axis insertions, said the company. Pricing for Tru-Lok connectors starts at $3.15 each in quantities of 500. Delivery is six weeks.
