Accelerated Technology, a Mentor Graphics division, announced that its Nucleus real-time operating system (RTOS) has been used by Trilogy Broadcast Ltd to develop the Mercury system, an Internet Protocol (ip) voice-based communication device.

The Mercury system offers an approach to intercom solutions based on VoIP technology, which allows all elements of the system to interconnect over a standard Ethernet. Mercury provides bi-directional audio communication in an IP environment. It provides near instant connection across LAN and WAN configurations with one touch operation of hardware or virtual panels.

"Accelerated Technology is dedicated to helping software developers like Trilogy build their products quickly and easily from conception to deployment. The Mercury system is a great example of how robust software and a responsive technical support team can help make technology successful in the wireless networking market," said Robert Day, director of marketing, embedded systems division, Mentor Graphics.
