Hewlett-Packard Co. has tapped 10Gb Ethernet developer S2io Inc. to supply its Xframe adaptor for HP's server line.

S2io said HP will integrate into its Enterprise servers the XFrame 10Gb adapter with the PCI-X 1.0 extension bus running on the HP-UX 11i Unix operating environment.

XFrame is the first in a series of adaptors for server and storage connectivity. The current version includes IPv6 Internet address support and 10Gb speeds without compromising TCP/IP integrity.

Founded in 2001, S2io said it has raised over $42 million in funding during its latest investment round in June.
