The new FDU0650 fixed inductor from Toko Inc. is designed for use in dc-dc converters in notebook PCs and other applications.

With a measurement of 7.9-by-7.1mm and 5mm height, this device is capable of handling high current and features a magnetically shielded fixed surface mount inductor. According to the company, magnetic iron powder has been used to combine high-current handling capability with compact size.

Featuring a maximum operating temperature of up to 125C, the Pb-free inductor features an inductance range between 0.13?H and 0.56?H, inductance tolerance of 20 percent, DC resistance of 3.2 milliohms (max.) at 0.56?H and rated current of 14.2A (max.) at 0.56?H.
