Radvision has released an updated version of its SIP Developer Toolkit that provides enhanced security and RTOS support while also delivering support for signaling compression.

Radvision has been working hard to gain adoption for its SIP protocol stack in the networking and wireless markets. To make the core more attractive for embedded developers, the company has added support for the symbian, pSOS and Nucleus OSes in its SIP Developer's Kit.

Complementing its RTOS support, Radvision has also added support for the SIP signaling compression (Sigcomp) protocol, which allows designers to compress SIP messages as they are sent out over a connection. The kit also includes support for transport layer security and dynamic local address translation for NAT/firewall transversal.

Additionally, type of service call routing is available to allow developers to set socket options for different types of service.

In addition to Symbian, pSOS and Nucleus, the SIP protocol kit supports the Solaris, RedHat Linux, VxWorks, Windows and MontaVista Linux OSes. The SIP kit is currently available to developers worldwide.
