Portwell disclosed that system integrators can now quickly and efficiently launch their products and increase the speed of deployment with the use of their embedded computing solution ARTO-210-3718.

Aimed at accurate and reliable computing applications, the ARTO series embedded system literally represents "accurate", "reliable", "trusted" and "optimized," said the company. It was developed to satisfy the needs of applications with space constraints that require high performance. Main benefits include compatibility with existing 5.25-inch ESB family, including the PEB-3715VLA, PEB-3730VLA and PEB-3732VLA. The low-profile modularized design also provides 1 PCI expansion via PCI riser card. And for seamless integration, the ARTO offers the changeable board carrier frame that can slide in the chassis when customers want to change the main board.

The board is based on the Intel Pentium M Processor 760, running at 2GHz and built on 90nm process. The Mobile Intel 915GM Express chipset has on-chip support for LVDS output, CRT and SDVO port. In addition, it supports up to 1GB of 333 or 266 DDR DRAM and extensive power management. The Intel ICH6-M provides high performance I/O with a PCI Express interface, a 33MHz PCI interface, AC'97 v2.2 for audio and USB 2.0.

Target applications for the ARTO-210-3718 include industrial automation, transportation, military/aerospace and interactive clients such as Point-of-Sale (POS), ATM, Kiosk and medical appliances. Additionally, the ARTO-210-3718 delivers the benefit of dual independent display support without any added costs. For lower cost of ownership, the ARTO-210-3718 can also support some versions of the Intel Celeron M processor.
