Datatronics says its new series of high-voltage flyback transformers provides a cost-effective means of driving high impedance loads that require up to 2,000Vdc. The new Model 4283-1200 transformers are application-specific devices that can be custom configured to meet a wide variety of medical, military or commercial applications.

Offering primary-to-secondary isolation of up to 7kVdc, the 4283-1200 series is suitable for applications requiring a high-voltage, low-power signal. Typical applications include line and portable medical devices such as defibrillators as well as industrial lasers, ion generators for powder coating and painting equipment, cathode ray tube transformers, and traveling wave tube transformers.

The company said the 4283-1200 series is particularly reliable in unstable or harsh environments. The series meets or exceeds the performance, safety and quality standards of a variety of U.S., European and Asian specifications.

Available in a variety of customer-specified packages, pricing for the 4283-1200 series starts at $12 in low volume quantities. Delivery is from stock to eight weeks.
