BenQ, ViewSonic develop LCD monitors with 4ms response time

Panel makers BenQ Corp. and ViewSonic Int. Corp. will be releasing LCD monitors with a response time of 4ms next quarter. BenQ will also launch LCD monitors with response times of 5ms, 6ms and 8ms.

Meanwhile, according to Vice President Allan Chang of ViewSonic, the company's 19-inch VX924 LCD monitors are expected to account for 10 percent of its sales for monitors with 4ms response times. The products are quoted at $549 and are slated for release next month.

Apart from promoting LCD monitors with faster response times, ViewSonic also focuses on marketing monitors with 25ms response times in the Asia Pacific region.
