Micron broadens die support with supply agreement

Micron Technology Inc. has signed a regional supplier agreement with Semi Dice Inc., a bare die distributor based in Los Alamitos, California. Through the agreement, Semi Dice will supply the North American market with Micron's memory and imager bare die products.

"This agreement enables Micron and Semi Dice to support our mutual customers with bare die products and a wide range of value-added programs," said Steve King, Micron's wafer-level business development manager.

Semi Dice offers products in either die or wafer form and test services to meet customers' specific design requirements. The supplier agreement provides manufacturers of applications such as, MP3 players, digital TVs, PDAs, set-top boxes, and wireless chipsets, new access to Micron's products.

On the other hand, Micron offers a complete bare die portfolio of DRAM, flash, and CMOS image sensors with a variety of configurations and packaging options.
