Lite-On has adopted Genesis Microchip Inc. gm5621 and gm2621 series for its new XGA and SXGA LCD monitor platforms.

The gm5621 LCD controller series integrates the microcontroller using a serial flash interface for pin count efficiency and includes a number of derivative controllers that enable customers to target all LCD monitor segments (analog or dual, XGA or SXGA) with a single PCB. Its firmware is also compatible with Genesis' previous generation of gm5321 LCD monitor controllers, reducing customer design time and costs. The gm5621 product family also offers new Instant Auto technology, which provides fast and accurate image alignment for both static and moving images of the VGA input signal and is competitively priced to respond to the high-volume segments of the mainstream LCD monitor controller market.

The gm5621 family offers Genesis' patented advanced image processing technologies, an integrated ADC/PLL and Ultra-Reliable DVI compliant receiver for both XGA and SXGA display resolutions. In addition, it features an on-chip RSDS and LVDS transmitter, a multicolor proportional font OSD engine and is available in a 128QFP package.
