S2C will offer a transaction-based system-on-chip (SoC) design and validation system that incorporates verification software and intellectual property (IP) from Zaiq Technologies on S2C's IP Porter platform.

The two companies announced an OEM agreement by which customers can order the integrated system directly from S2C (San Jose, Calif.) and use off-the-shelf, standard transistors from Zaiq's library of Systemware Verification Components (SVCs). S2C will offer the new system in Asia, North America and Europe.

Zaiq (Woburn, Mass.) announced a similar OEM agreement with rapid protyping vendor ProDesign USA in mid-March.

Zaiq's Systemware offers a pre-configured transaction-based verification environment, along with a library of verification IP. Zaiq SVCs support Standard Co-Emulation Modeling Interface (SCE-MI) down to the synthesizable bus functional model level. SVCs are available for standard interfaces and protocols such as AMBA, USB and Ethernet.

According to S2C, IP Porter offers customers a way to both evaluate IP and integrate SoC without extensive knowledge of ASIC design. The company said that its platform offers a unified environment that enables software development, system testing and system debugging through an embedded transaction interface.
