Harting expands connector portfolio

Harting disclosed that they expanded their range of hard metric connectors in accordance to IEC 61076-4-101 with the har-bus HM combined module.

This new product integrates different har-bus HM female connectors in one single piece. Any combination of har-bus HM types A, B, AB and C is possible up to the length of 6U, explained Harting. The combined module was designed for use with the CompactPCI standard. To press-in the connectors into a 6U PCB, only one press-in operation is necessary, instead of five, thus reducing manufacturing cost. Additional process optimization can be achieved in the logistics, as only one part number must be handled.

The connector consists of 5 signal contact rows and provides a maximum of 535 contacts. It is available both shielded and unshielded and is fitted with press-in contacts.
