Engineers developing wireless products using Analog Devices Inc.'s ISM band transceivers can shorten design cycles with a new development tool called ADIismLink.

ADIismLINK enables wireless product designers to transfer data between multiple units (slave node) and a master node (another ADF702x device) without having to spend time developing their own protocol software.

A radio link can be established with ADI's ADF702x ISM-based transceivers and development boards straight out of the box.

"ADIismLINK helps simplify the system design challenges of wireless applications, resulting in more streamlined designs and ultimately faster time-to-market for our customers," said Christian Kermarrec, VP for ADI's RF and wireless systems.

The ADIismLINK software is available as part of the existing hardware development kits offered by ADI for its ADF702x family.

The ADF702x family of ISM transceivers is low power and operates in the license-free bands at 433MHz, 868MHz, and 902MHz to 928MHz. It is geared for audio, cordless phone, video-over ISM, low-rate connectivity, security systems and automatic meter reading.

It is also transportable to ADI's MicroConverter family of precision analog microcontrollers.
