Innolux, HannStar secure 19-inch LCD monitor agreement

HannStar Display Corp. recently finalized a deal with Innolux Display Corp. on orders of 19-inch LCD monitor panels that is set to commence in the second half of the year.

Innolux currently provides three million LCD monitor panels as production at its 5G facility has lagged behind schedule. However, since it is targeting a shipment of 9 million units this year, the company plans to purchase monitors from HannStar.

Innolux has just started its 5G operations in October of last year. The company can only manufacture 5,000 substrates at present, but aims to increase its design capacity to 60,000 substrates by the end of 2006.
