Tripp Lite's new line of 3-phase SmartOnline uninterruptible power supplies (UPSes), true double-conversion systems, extend to the 20kVA and 30kVA region for computing, networking, telecommunications, and industrial environments.
The system's power module includes an inverter/charger section (less than 3 percent total harmonic distortion at output), three communication ports, and a SNMP slot. The company's PowerAlert Universal UPS Power Management Software provides power management, monitoring and control locally or remotely through TCP/IP. Intelligent communications allow users to check UPS status (including battery charge level) and AC power status. A manual bypass switch as well as an automatic bypass function on the power module ensures 100% availability of connected equipment during required maintenance times.
Optional external battery modules to the system's basic battery module can be added to extend the equipment runtime during a blackout. Custom external battery modules for even greater runtime are also available. Additional descriptive and technical information on these systems are available online.
The company provides a variety of optional extended service and support programs for all SmartOnline 3-Phase UPS Systems. Start-Up service programs are recommended and available separately to verify correct installation. A site survey service, which delivers a detailed report of site conditions and tailor-made protection solutions, and on-site extended warranties are also available.
The manufacturers' suggested retail price (MSRP) for the SU20K3/3 and SU30K3/3 systems are $14,399, and $23,519, respectively. The company also offers SmartOnline models for the 10kVA to 30kVA international market. These include the SU10K3/1X, SU20K3/3X and SU30K3/3X models.
